Hello everyone! I am a new registered member and been lurking the forum for quite some time. I live in New Mexico and currently had my associate degree in business. The forum really helped me in transferring a school that I wanted, which is prestige and price which is no limits in my criteria. Luckily, I was accepted to all the school that I have applied. I have 94+ credits and hope you can help me decide which school will fit my needs.
    Here are the list:

University of Massachusetts Amherst- BBA Marketing only 75 transfer credit accepted
Arizona State University- BA Business Communication needs to take ACT or SAT ( irrelevant for me I think)
Rutgers University- BS Labor and Employment Relations online
Florida Institute of Technology- BS Computer Information Systems online

Your opinion will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You can't go wrong with any of these universities. Any of them would be a good choice. Here's some stats on Rutgurs:

U.S. News & World Report: America's Best Colleges
    # 1 in the nation (16th consecutive year), Most Diverse National University (Rutgers–Newark)

U.S. News & World Report: Ten Law Degrees with Most Financial Value at Graduation
    # 3 in the nation, Rutgers School of Law–Camden

U.S. News & World Report: Schools Producing the Most Fortune 500 CEOs
    # 10 in the nation, with 11 graduates

    Forbes: America's Most Diverse Colleges
    # 1 in the nation (Rutgers–Newark)

    The Chronicle of Higher Education
    # 11 in the nation, top producers of U.S. Fulbright students

If I can say this without sounding mean, your choice of programs suggests that you really don't have a career track in mind. You don't need to decide between these schools, you need to decide between these careers. With all that said, despite my love for UMass I'd choose ASU due to the geographic elements.

I am still 22, and I have a part time job in library in our local town! I wanted to go in management route or in information systems , if that what you wanted to know! Does anyone have feedback on Florida Tech?, I am really considering this school!

Since you have 93+ credits I would forget about Amhest because you would need to earn at least another 45 credits. Most schools only require you earn 30 semester units in residence.

In my opinion you should aim for a basic major in either business or computer information. I know people who have degrees in communications and in HR and they find it difficult to find jobs. Go for a masters to reinforce your career once you land a ful time job.

Why not stick with a NM school?

Or finish up at one of the big three schools (that way for relatively little cost you could gain a first degree by including CLEP and DSST exam results). As you can see by browsing this site many regular contributors have first degres from a big three school.

Ok, from a purely personal standpoint, I obviously choose ASU. Best school ever. That being said, you will lose A LOT of credits in the transfer process no matter what school you choose. So I would suggest you try one of the Big 3. You will get a regionally accredited degree, it will cost MUCH less, and you will be able to hang on to most, if not all, of your credits.

OK, so you've just eliminated half of your list. All the schools you've listed are good schools and any of us would be happy to have a degree from these places. This is what I'm trying to say. The schools are all fine but you have not narrowed down your career choice. If you choose a career path then it will become easier to choose the school. Oh yeah, and that credit thing? You're probably going to lose time/money because most schools won't accept that many credits in transfer.

    Actually, there was no problem with my transfer courses. Here are the situation of each school that I got admitted to;

UMass Amherst- They only transfer 75 credits hours
ASU- They transfer all of my 94 credits hours but still not sure if some courses will satisfy the required courses ( Still not heard from them with my transfer equivalencies and its been one month)
Rutgers University- They already transferred 90 credits hours and needs 30 credits labor courses to finish
Florida Tech- They also transferred 90 credits hours, and needs to finish 1/4 of total credits hours which is 120.

They took all 94 of your credits in transfer?? REALLY?

"A maximum of 64 semester hours of credit will be accepted as lower-division credit when transferred from a regionally accredited community, junior or two-year college, with the exception of some special programs."

Yes, and I am not a from a two year community college, so they accepted all my credits, but the problem is some courses are not yet evaluated, and may be some of my classes will be just an electives.

He didn't say all 94 credits were from two year schools, so this is not actually all that amazing. I'm a little surprised they don't have a 90 credit cap like most schools, but if they don't then more power to him.

I just transferred into Rutgers-New Brunswick this past fall and while yes if you complete an associates they have to take all your credits, they don't all nececceralliy transfer to equivelent courses to the university. All my math and general science courses did but any upper level electives I took did not. They transferred as "general elective" and I was still required to take Rutgers version of whatever course it was so be careful with that. Also were you admitted into the Rutgers School of Business or the Arts and Sciences School?

As long as one meets the residence requirements (usually 30 semester units) and satifies the degree requirements some schools will accept and document more than 120 units on transcripts.

I just looked at my Excelsior transcript and it lists 145 semester units (if I had known then what I know now I would have held back 25 units and put them towards a second bachelors degree).
