Hi, Thanks for thoughts on the cheapest above. Local CC situation is not working out. These will be headed to TESC eventually. Testing currently not an option until my family member gets his school mode secure. Many thanks. Hille

If you're going to attend TESC, then give Straighteline.com a try.

Those are good options, also look at New mexica junior college, and the independent study options at the university of Idaho and Arkansas. (the last two are around $100/credit)

  5. I registered at Clovis. BUT, the advisor was so incredibly rude (loud, agressive, angry) that I was shaking by the time I got off the phone with him. Did some research and enrolled at Allen Community College (Kansas) instead. They have bent over backward to make things work, and are uniformly nice, helpful, and pleasant (and patient) with my many calls.

Out-of-state charges are $82/semester credit. An additional $25 per credit for online, so $107/credit. HOWEVER, they do not rely on the horrible Pearson texts and online $^%&. The rental of a textbook is *included* in the charge. It's $8 ($5 for each add'l) to have the book shipped to you for the semester. I have taken classes where the required texts were almost the same price as the tuition, so I'm really, really grateful. With the textbooks included, this may be the cheapest option, period.
