Many of you probably already knew about Columbia University's online programs, but I just became aware of them a couple of months ago. The Teachers College has an online masters in computing and teaching and the engineering department offers dozens of graduate degrees through the Columbia Video Network (CVN).

In Fall 2013, Columbia University will be offering new, online graduate programs in actuarial science and statistics.

But what intrigues me the most is Columbia's professional degrees. They are for people who want to continue their education beyond the master's level, but do not want to conduct research. I would love to complete a program like this; but, unfortunately, I do not have a background in engineering or computer science. Columbia is also very expensive. I have no interest in a CAGS since it's just a post-master's certificate. I tried looking for online Ed.S programs in a field that interests me, but I've found nothing. There are a couple in school psychology, but they require a master's in a counseling-related field which I don't have. The educational leadership and administration programs sound boring.

Does anyone know of any other degree programs that are similar to Columbia University's professional degrees? I just discovered Psy.S and SSP degrees, but I still haven't found anything program that would fit my educational background.
