My private message that you could not read was:

Thanks for the advice. I haven't actually enrolled in TESC yet, but that is where I plan to complete my degree when I am ready. (I am about 2/3 of the way through my BA via traditional credit earning methods.) I am doing as much research and testing as possible first, so I can get in and out in the minimum time and expense. I'm also a little concerned that I might find that I am not able to succeed in the testing and portfolios, so I want to make sure I can pass some of these tests and follow the portfolio instructions before I sink a lot of money in at TESC. I have a bad history of lack of follow through on these sorts of things. :(

    What are the "FEMa credits"?

Thanks for the tip on the CLEP test.

I actually have 3 friends who may be working on getting their degrees through TESC as well. I've invited them to form an informal "degree completion club" with me, because I figure, once I've researched all the programs, bought all the test books, and printed out reams of information, that stuff might as well get more then one use. My friends are all people who could get an entire BA worth of credits from testing and/or portfolio credit, and they have all complained about a lack of BA holding them back.

    TESC

Hi, I hope you had a good day. The dl group is a great idea. I work with a TESC student and am helping her as much as I can to graduate shortly. Currently there are many problems at TESC, but accreditation is not one of them.* If you are going to use portfolio for many of your credits pay the comprehensive fee. They are evaluated sooner because of the lack of seperate billing. If you are getting organized now I suggest you print out all of your credits you currently have and compare them to a degree program in the catalog. It will make it a more clear cut plan. MY husband has not received the evaluation on his portfolio. I'll be able to make some more educated comments at that time. I have loads of ideas. You can search the forum for FEMA information. I'll be adding to the information as soon as I get the listing I received sorted out. Hille.

    TESC

Hello, I'm wondering how other forum members are doing dealing with TESC currently? How long for an e-mail reply. Feedback from portfolio assessment? Hille

Thanks Hillie. I am going out of town on vacation for 10 days and won't be back until Monday May 6. I'm ordering a bunch of materials before I leave so they will be waiting for me when I get back. Talk to you again then. I really appreciate all the advice from you & others on this board, and the articles by Lawrie Miller and Steve Levicoff (they are my heros!!).
