Goldblatt Report prize for 1st quarter 2013

Per the prestigious Leland Milton Goldblatt Report

Septuple doctorate, speedy quick, hold the whip

Many claim that the job of a seminary president is “never done.” This level of hyperbole is only equaled by the hard-working Leland Milton Goldblatt himself, burning the candle at all three ends with trainers standing by for support. However, in the case of this quarter’s Goldblatt Report Prize, this statement is quite literally true. In 2005, a young fellow enquired at a distance learning discussion board, Whither shall I go? What shall my religious degree major be? [“Which religious degree major” started by larryjf]. The answers he received were not decisive enough for his steely nature, and so he went after all the marbles, becoming Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. larryjf:

Following a doctrinal dispute with his elders at the free North American Theological Society in December 2007, Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. larryjf left and founded his own free seminary in January 2008. In a striking display of leadership and vision larryjf made a command decision to issue the first doctorate to himself. Since that time, he has boldly gotten an additional two ersatz doctorates. Who is this mystery superman? Your correspondent knows him of old, but prefers to quantify greatness, not just give personal recommendations.
