So throughout my entire program class sizes have ranged from a mere 4 students (my two law classes specifically were the ones with only 4 students) to 11. Well this semester I am in my capstone course and an Organizational Change course as my last two classes before I finish my degre, woohoo for me. But that is not the point of this post.

I am amazed at the class size. The Organizational Change class has 32, yes you read that right 32 students in it. Seems crazy for a Masters level course to have that many students in it especially considering around 80% of them are from my same program (the MS in Human Resources Management). My Capstone course, though not as high as the Organizational Change course, is quite full as well at 22 participants and this capstone is ONLY open to MSHRM students. I don't know where they all came from haha. I have been taking 2 courses a term during my entire tenure with Troy and over half of these people's names I have never even seen. Its like the just fell out of the sky and landed in the Capstone haha.

In my experience at all the paces I have taught it works the other way the closer you get towards the capstone. It sounds like they are using the OC class as a requirement for several different degree programs? The number of students is very high and I am surprised they do not place some sort of cap on numbers.
