Ok this is not really a distance learning issue but I couldn't think of a better place for it aside from off topic. Anyway, I will be completing my Masters in Human Resources Management in May (woohoo for me). The Navy has just given me approval for funding for sitting for the PHR exam in June. My Masters degree capstone course has a practice PHR exam as one of the two finals for the course so that is one prep item I will have.

The point of my post is to get suggestions/insight for what study materials/aids that are out there that would be beneficial to preparing for the PHR exam. Are there any study guides that are rated favorably for helping people get ready? Other than my degrees I do not have any civilian side HR experience. Military HR background is as a benefits and compensation counselor and career retention manager. But those do not really aid in preparing me for this exam. I have been given the impression it is quite the undertaking.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Respectfully

    Brian

The guides from HRCP are always highly rated, and generally a lot cheaper than the study material from SHRM. HRCP
