Summer School at Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley California

Does anyone have experience with transferring graduate credit from this schools summer program into a Ph.D program? The GTU is accredited by WASC and ATS. Most of the one-week courses seem to worth only 1.5 semester hours. I can't afford the Ph.D route right now, but am thinking about bulding up credit hours here and there.

I guess I should mention ...

I realize the GTU courses are not distance education, but I want to "get my feet wet" at the graduate level in this subject area. And get access to the library there to do some of my research once I enroll in a distance MA/Ph.D program.
