My friend is an ordained chaplain and would like to earn an associated degree to supplement her knowledge and creditability. Does anyone know of a RA online program for an Associates or Bachelors in Chaplaincy.

I would think that chaplaincy would be an MDiv thing.

Of course, he could go for a BD from the University of London University of London: Home or some other UK institution.

I googled "Religious Studies Online" and came up with a ton of programs, many of them quite respectable. :saroll:

See Harvard, ASU, Liberty, APUS, etc. If she's got the money and grades, the world is her oyster....

religious studies online - Google Search

In the US context, the requirements associated with different chaplaincy roles (e.g., hospital, military, etc.) vary somewhat. However, the conventional credentialing processes associated with both hospital and military chaplaincy roles require masters-level training. This being the case, I would imagine that most chaplaincy-related programs will be designed at the graduate level.

While this is older I would like to respond.

You need an M.Div from a school with at least CHEA approved accreditation. Therefore you need a BA(or BS) in something also accredited. The next step is CPE. American Association for Physician Leadership for info . . . this cannot be done online.
