Emailed him and asked him to put up a poll for doctoral programs...he is in and out of his office until February 8th. We shall see.

I think it would be great if they offered doctoral programs. I took the survey and expressed my interest. Thanks for the poll Matt.

They did a poll a few years ago about doctoral programs. I wonder what the results were.

I'm just kicking myself because I'm finally working in higher ed and have the support to earn a doctorate in history, but I live in the middle of nowhere. The closest on campus programs are William and Mary (2 hours away) and George Mason (2.5 hours away). I suppose I could throw UVA in there too, but they're 3 hours away. I can't just uproot my family to go for a doctorate, because the whole point is that I want to stay at my current place of employment, and we just bought a house in June.

Matt, what about the PhD in Classical Civilization from the University of Florida? It seems it's either that or else go international....

If they would take their space courses (even better yet, the aeronautics portion) and combine them with their management program courses to create a master's in space or aerospace systems operation management, I would be sold.

I am thinking of something similar to what Webster University offers in-residence in Colorado Springs.

I suggested they implement a Professional Masters Degree where a student could place emphasis on his career expertise coupled with support courses from other AMU programs.

That's something I'm considering. It's not purely history, but it's pretty darn close.

Would Faulkner University's PhD in History based on the Great Books of the Western World work?
