    Hi,

I'm finishing up my Associate's in Paralegal Studies at Ashworth College right now. I think a regionally accredited Bachelor's will fit my future goals better, but is there a regionally accredited college that my credits will actually transfer to? I don't want to start all over. I'm looking for something in the Law/Paralegal/Legal Studies area. Thank you!

Bellevue University offers a B.S. in Legal Studies online. Bellevue is said to be very open to NA transfer credit.

I've read a student report that said Excelsior College will consider up to 30 semester hours in NA transfer credit on petition. Excelsior is extremely flexible in other ways you can earn credit; there's a good chance you could cover off most or all of the difference by taking low-cost CLEP exams and similar.

Excelsior doesn't have a written-down major or concentration in Law, Paralegal, or Legal Studies, but you could likely go for a B.S. in Liberal Arts with an Area of Focus in one of these.

Charter Oak State College is generally a compelling place to go for an online program in Paralegal Studies, with a B.A. or B.S. concentration in Paralegal Studies designed in collaboration with the Connecticut Bar Association, and all the courses needed offered through Charter Oak. However, COSC doesn't have Excelsior's possible advantage in the acceptance of NA credits. If you enrolled as a Charter Oak student, took a portfolio assessment course and paid a fee currently $91 per semester hour, you could apply for credit for your Ashworth work through portfolio assessment. COSC is also very flexible with CLEP etc., about evenly with Excelsior.

American Public University System, which uses the brands American Military University and American Public University, has a B.S. in Legal Studies you might look at. This school isn't a "public university" and isn't in any special way associated with the military. It's a for-profit university that originally primarily focused on students in the military. It's since expanded its focus; its programs are available to military and civilians. APUS is said to be very open to NA transfer credit.

In your shoes, I'd probably look first at Bellevue.
