Well it looks like I am going to have to take Penn Foster's A.S. Industrial electronics and electrical maintenance technology program. I was worried about the lab that you have to take in the 4th semester, but now I'm just more impressed with the whole thing. Its administered by PSU, and its with other Penn Foster students only. Its extremely thorough, and the instructors really teach you all the real world lessons you need. I loved the sound of the whole resident lab but now my mind is at ease. Its a bit expensive though, but in my opinion well worth it. It will look good on a resume too I believe. Can you put on your resume that the hands on lab was administered by PSU or no you can't?

If the lab was administered my PSU, why not?

Did I miss something? What happened to TESC?

Yeah its PSU is Penn State University. What happened to TESC, was a whole lot of things, long story but I really have no credits to put toward the degree. I'm gonna do this and then transfer the credits down the line to TESC, because almost all of the credits are ACE evaluated. I think of the 64 credits including the lab is like 55 or so ACE evaluated credits.

"PSU" typically means the flagship Penn State campus in University Park. It looks like the Penn Foster Lab is actually held at the Penn State campus in Harrisburg.

It might or might not be appropriate to list this on a resume, depending on the extent of PSU-Harrisburg's "administration". For example, if Penn Foster is just renting the facilities from PSU-Harrisburg, then it might be misleading to include it. On the other hand, if the class counts for PSU-Harrisburg credit, then it would certainly be fair to include it.

Thanks CalDog, I wasn't trying deceive, I used PSU just for ease. Yeah its PSU out of Harrisburg. The credit is actually issued by Penn State Harrisburg and transferred over, I asked them that today. Its not rented out by Penn Foster at all, its actually Penn State instructors in the lab. Thanks again for the help.

Whatever you do Pfelectronicstech, make sure that the ACE courses on ACE's registry are in the correct date range that are approval. I can spot 10+ courses on the ACE registry that say they are ACE approved but they have expired. Not in your program , just in general. ACE rarely updates the database in time.

Well because I have those "18 credits" from the Electronics technician program and i only have to do 3 semesters really, plus right now they are paying for the last semester I am figuring it will be somewhere around $2,500, maybe slightly higher? But the lab is gonna cost just over 2 grand by itself which I am not happy with, but its really, really comprehensive. I saw the workload, and its impressive. They pack a TON into 2 weeks of lab classes.
