I've been reading this board for quite some time, and I've learned so much. I returned to college last year after nearly fifteen years away, so this resource is ideal.

I'm currently completing an associate's degree and am making plans for my bachelor's in health management. That said, I'm always on the hunt for certificate programs--both through accredited programs or simple CEU courses. I've checked out Gatlin's offerings and their Ed2Go courses. I may end of taking a couple, but I think it would be more for self-knowledge than as an attempt to use the courses for my resume.

In my search for continuing education in the healthcare/medical field, I discovered two companies that seem similar to what Gatlin offers. Both are also offered through colleges and universities. Anyone have experience with:

Protrain ProTrain offers programs through state colleges and universities.

HealthEdToday HealthEdToday is partnered with Auburn University and others and claims to have 300 locations in 40 states. Oh, and I just found their sister site, Condensed Curriculum. They're also affiliated with Pearson Education and ecollege.com.

Any experiences with these courses? Thoughts? Just like Gatlin? Better? Worse? The only reason I'd consider any of the three is because they're partnered with colleges and institutions I know. I wouldn't fork over $2,000 to the standalone entities.

I realize that using these types of courses would be more for study purposes, considering the field in which I'm interested. But they're reasonably inexpensive, the syllabi seem consistent with what I'd learn in a community college CEU program, and I like the idea of studying at my own pace.

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I know many of you have knowledge and experience in these areas and might even have personal experience with the companies involved. It took me so long to return to school that now I just wanna make all the right moves! :veryhappy:
