I am trying to help someone who has the following degrees/diploma, and would now like to obtain a Bachelor’s degree.
    1. 3-year University Diploma (not degree) in laboratory medical technology from the UK
    2. Master’s degree in medical laboratory technology from the UK (admitted on the basis on the 3-year Diploma)
    3. PhD in health services management from a major US regionally accredited university

He possesses the highest level of US licensure in his field, and serves as a senior laboratory director at a major hospital.

Is there any University/College that would allow him to use credits from his above-mentioned academic degrees toward earning a US Bachelor’s degree (in the health/science majors). He wants this purely for personal satisfaction.

    Thanks

Rather than distance learning, since his goal is amusement rather than convenience would he be interested in taking a degree part time in something that interests him in a classroom setting at a local university? He'd likely only be required to take ten courses to get a Bachelor's.

As long as his educational credentials satisfy school's curriculum, he has to take at least 30 credits. Some school allow to earn a second Bachelor degree with little additional works. Here is an example: Second Bachelor's Degree | Office of the Registrar

What's the point for spending more money with useless degree? He would be more satisfy by giving money for students as scholarship.

    1. Skip it. No one cares. Besides, it's a better story without the bachelor's.

    2. Entering a master's program with a diploma is normal in the UK.

    3. Find a British uni that will award the bachelor's based on the diploma and additional study.

    4. Don't worry, be happy. (Okay, that last one was Bobby McFerrin, but he's right.)

If I were him and I wanted to learn and get a credential at the same time I might decide to pursue a second bachelors in history from TESC.
He can take CLEP and DSST history tests to pick up most of the credits. There are degree plans on the degreeforum wikia site.

I don't understand how it could be "personally satisfying" to use old credits to earn a new degree. The result is no new knowledge and just another piece of paper that doesn't advance your position in any way.

Yeah don't use old credits. Pick up new credits in history and get another degree, a bachelors degree from a US institution. The old credits are just there to satisfy gen eds. The new credits required at TESC will be in your concentration.

Some of us revel in achievement. I for one am really upset when I open up Netflix on the Xbox 360 and it says I have 0 achievements. I should get some credit for watching the entire Buck Rogers series twice...

TESC (Thomas Edison State College) as already mentioned, is the best place to go with for the individual you speak of. I used to teach a few online courses there. They will accept all of his credits and there are no residency requirements (not just on campus, not also not having to take a certain amount of credits with the school to graduate). The school is regionally accredited and has a good reputation. He will need to take some specific courses to satisfy the concentration, but this can be done by taking online courses with TESC, taking the TECEP Exams, Guided Study Courses, E-Packet Courses or take course at another university and transfer in. In my opinion, this would the best way. I think they may provided a pre-degree eval, not sure about this (they may charge), but he should check out.

75 bucks gets you an eval. Good deal.
