    Good Afternoon All,

I have an issue and have searched the forums but didn't find anything recent and relevant other than LSU independent study. I am deploying overseas in the near future and need to continue my education while over there. The internet and time to do courses is sketchy and not really looking good. I need a program to complete my degree (currently seeking Associates Gen Studies at AMU w/40 credits complete) but it needs to be decent enough to get me into a RA Brick and Mortar university and eventually to a respected Masters program and probably onto Phd if the job field keeps going like it is. I need a program that is flexible as far as time to complete courses (independent / self paced) and does not require online proctor if possible due to internet situation. With my current program I have the following classes remaining (plus 5 hrs of electives that i already have covered)

    3 hrs English
    3 hrs History
    3 hours Literature
    3 hrs Math
    4 hrs Science w/ lab

I have tried Penn Foster and wasn't impressed, also looked into LSU as I said but they require proctored exams with High Speed Internet. I am hoping someone has a good answer as my job upon my return depends on it! I'm open to any suggestions but need a quick turnaround as im running out of time. I know im probably looking for a unicorn that doesn't exist but I can have wishful thinking lol.

    Thanks,

    M

What about Brigham Young University? I have no first-hand knowlege but they are mentioned frequently here in the same way that LSU courses are.

What about doing CLEP and DSST exams for the English, history and literature requirements? You could knock those out pretty quickly. There are many study resources here, with Education Portal being one of my favorites.

For math, I don't suppose ALEKS.com would work? If not, how about for math and science, Straighterline.com? Both are cheap and you can finish quickly. I'm not sure what AMU's policy is for either though. If neither of those options are good for you, give KCTCS a try. A bit pricey, but you can finish quickly at an RA community college.
