Rather disturbing for a college level English Composition class!!

    If you are disturbed by the spelling, note that "enrol" and "enrolment" are the correct spellings in most (probably all) other English-speaking countries (UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, etc). So it may not be a mistake; it may just mean that the web page was composed by someone who learned English outside of the US.

    For example, the Moodle e-learning platform -- which is developed in Australia -- uses "enrol" and "enrolment" by default. You have to change the settings if you want the US English spellings. From the Moodle FAQs:

    I hate to throw a spanner in the works but I hope you recognise that whilst you are all whinging about these trivial facts, the whole of the English speaking world are laughing at Americans taking licence with quite proper English grammar.
