Cal State San Bernardino offers several courses online as Extended Learning Course: Credit/Non-Credit. Transcript reads as "CR," instead of "A,B or C."

From What I've read from their catalog, these courses can be applied to their degree programs, but not towards any requirements of a specific major.

Does anyone one know if the "Intermediate Algebra/Algebra II would be accepted by a school like Excelsior?

    All the best,

    Phil,

They took my INT Algebra (3 credits). That was an AAS degree which did not have HIGH math requirements. However, if you are going to do a BS degree, odds are they are going to need atleast college algebra (next class above intermediate). Now, with that said, they will probably throw something like that into the arts and science ELECTIVES area? So, it depends on what degree you go for at excelsior.

At Excelsior one needs as few as 2 units in math for the BSLA degree.

  4. Accepted? Most likely. Fulfill your "quantitative reasoning" (or the name du jour is?) Depends on the degree.

TESC requires "precalculus math" in their business programs; Intermediate Algebra wouldn't cut it. But in the BA and BSHS programs, any college-level math above the introductory level will work.

"College-level" is a pretty loose standard, BTW.
