    Any word or updated news on the Commonwealth Open University? Is the BAOL a legitimate organization? Has anyone had a bad experience with this school?

    What is the deal with Northcentral University? They claim to be on the verge of receiving Regional Accreditation for a number of years now. Any good or bad news on them?

    Commonwealth Open U is an unaccredited Caribbean business. BAOL is not an accreditor.

    Actually, from what I understand NCU has done quite well in its progression towards RA in terms of time frames. This is not a short process.

    Pros for NCU are that it is 100% on line, one of the least expensive US DL PhD programs. The cons are that it is a candidate and although most schools achieving that status do go on to achieve full RA, they themselves will tell you this is NOT guarenteed. So you take a bit of a gamble (one with the odds probably in your favor but a gamble nonetheless).
