TEFL/TESOL Certificate advice desperately needed

Does anyone know of a distance TEFL or TESOL certificate program offered by an accredited American university that is not very expensive?

I've looked at Shenadoah University but I find them expensive, and I've looked at UCLA extension's program but find that the time it takes to finish their certificate program is equivalent to the time it would take to complete a whole masters program (in TESOL) at Shenadoah University.

For a variety of reasons, a certificate course is really what I need now, and I guess what I'm looking for is something that is inexpensive, and not very long.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
