I am currently an Electronics technician student at Penn Foster college which I love. I'm close to graduation. This is an 18 credit career diploma. I noticed that Thomas Edison state college has a very similar program for 18 credits. while i LOVE Penn Foster I think TESC would look just a tad better on the resume. Is there a way to transfer the credits into the TESC program, or take some sort of quiz to be able say I graduated from TESC? I know a very odd question, and possibly very stupid. Please go easy on me if it is. Thanks for info you may have.
It's possible that you could transfer to TESC but personally I'd suggest that you just finish up at PF.
Oh yeah I am gonna finish my PF program, no doubt. I am only 5 exams from graduation. I was wondering after I graduate if you can then transfer to TESC, but it doesn't matter. I plan on transferring my credits to TESC for my AAS in Electrical/mechanical systems and maintenance. That is the plan anyway. Thanks for the help.
TESC usually will accept transfer credits. However, no school will accept credits that have already been used toward another degree, you can't double dip. I'm sure you already knew that. As long and the credits have been unused, I can't see a problem with it. I would recommend that you call the school to verify this.
Mostly true, but you usually can use most of the same credits for another award at the same level with additional work. But the OP is planning on a AAS so they all likely will transfer because that will be at a higher level award. Only TESC knows the real answer, so the OP should really ask them!
I will call soon about all this. I want to get through the next 3 exams first, these next 3 are TOUGH! Experiments with circuits, and its tough. This is program is no push over.
