As some of you may know, I have been pushing myself to finish my degree as soon as possible. Summer semester I took 12 units, working full time and have other commitments (like many others do). However, I have been feeling very overwhelmed. Please note, I understand this is my own doing because I have the choice to take less classes, but that defeats the purpose of graduating as soon as I can. To get back to my post, I have been really discontent with my original plan. I have been struggling for some time now. This semester I am taking 5 classes (one at my local community college, four at Liberty). I am feeling very overwhelm with little free time, and much stress. Many of us go through these moments... But here is why I really enjoy Liberty: I received a DVD in the mail from Liberty University. At first I just thought it was a nice token to share some information. However, today I put the video in my laptop DVD player. While it was playing, I read the title of the DVD cover, "WHERE THE JOURNEY of CHAMPIONS BEGINS". As I was watching the movie, it displayed three different student experiences while at Liberty: A Law graduate who was handicapped at birth, a student from Brazil who had academic difficulties with English language, and a mother who who unfortunately experience the loss of her youngest child. These stories were the things I needed to experience and see myself. Although I know I am technically struggling off my own cause, I realize that we all go through our moment of our own trials. It was just the motivation that I needed to push through this emotional hurdle. Liberty is a great institution and really provides care, support, strength to their students. I am very grateful that I chose Liberty. I hope this has helped anyone else who is going through similar experiences. You'll be okay. Just stick with it. Good documentary. I watched it a couple months ago through Liberty Today. Download that app if you don't have it and you'll see everything that is going on at Liberty.
