Hello all, I was just browsing the TESC website when I noticed they have a certificate program. According to the site, they have 12 different certicates and will award them upon request to enrolled students at no additional charge. It appears one just needs 18 coherent credits in one of the 12 areas. Although I'm going for the BA in Liberal Studies, I believe the following electives and excess credits I have would apply to the Human Resource Management certificate: PSY-361 Organizational Behavior MAN-301 Principles of Management MAN-440 Introduction to Total Quality Management MAN-331 Human Resource Management MAN-201 Principles of Supervision COU-262 Fundamentals of Counseling They didn't give any real indication of what would or would not apply. Anyone have any insight into this program? Am I way off? It would be great to get a certificate along the way to the BA. Cheers, 4Q
Hello, I'm going to check this out in the next few days for myself. I''ll let you know the specifics on my progress. Hille
your best bet is to call them. Until you're actually enrolled they are painfully slow in responding to email; once you are enrolled and can email advisors it gets a lot better (I think that the advisors have a policy of responding within 5 days). They are generally pretty helpful over the phone though. I believe they told me that the certificates roughly correspond to the major requirements for that subject, if I remember right. You can find those on their web site.
