    :wavey: Greeting friends ,
I'm trying to update our data on the lowest cost Ph.D , DM ,DBA programs in U.S.
also to list any new program .

    I want to start by

    Tennessee temple university
phd leadership 300 $ per credit hour / 3 years

    Johnson university
phd leadership 400 $ per credit hour /3 years

If you know any low cost program under 30K please list it .

As an added note, I really love both of these schools and am leaning heavily toward Tennessee Temple, but it should be noted that Tennessee Temple is NA and Johnson is RA.

Thank you so much for the Old Dominion recommendation -- I had not heard of that university before now.

And thanks to the OP for this great thread! I just cannot justify 50K for a degree.

For what it is worth, TTU is planning to file for SACS accreditation in June 2014. No guarantees, but that is the plan.

Great news, but can I ask how you learned this information?

Certainly. I have been emailing them about the PhD in Leadership. I asked if RA accreditation was in the cards (I knew there were plans back in 2009 or so). They were very helpful in answering all of my questions about the program and, in response to the accreditation question, said they were preparing for a June 2014 application with SACS.

Interesting...hope they follow through. Looks like a good program. So, are you planning on taking the plunge, or what?

I have about 10 months to go before completing my masters, so I have some time to think about it. I have narrowed it down to TTU, Johnson, and Bellevue. I like TTU the best, but Johnson offers a similar program, is already regionally accredited, and is also quite reasonably priced. Bellevue is a different beast completely (also regionally accredited, but the PhD is in Human Capital Management. It's also twice the cost.)

I'm leaning heavily toward TTU regardless of SACS accreditation. If they make application and achieve candidacy, I'm in for sure.
