Has anybody out there ever been a part of the Master of Theology program at Golden Gate? This is a limited residency online program, which requires the MDiv or equivalent to enter.

I am curious about the following information which can't be gleaned from GGBTS's website:

    1) Academic quality; no point in wasting time & money if it's a cakewalk

    2) Doctrinal position; Golden Gate is a SBC school, but some of the other SBC schools have been publicly criticized for quietly deviating far from their public "statements of faith".

    3) Approachability; is the school easy to work with, or a bureaucratic nightmare?

    Thanks for any help...

I do not know much about them except the following: on a program discussing the strange case of the minister from Amarillo who wandered off & claimed amnesia (later showed up umpteen years later as a gay pastor) they mentioned Golden Gate. The news program (Prime Time or something similiar) stated that the person completed his graduate degree at the prestigious Golden Gate Theological Seminary (something to that effect).
