I currently have my associates degree in Information Technology and would like to pursue my bachelors degree online. Does anyone know what the ballpark figure would be for total tuition? Most of my credits should be transferable. I just contacted Capella University and was shocked when they told me the cost would be 31k.

Also, does anyone have any recommendations on a good, but cheap online school offering an IT program?

What is your definition of cheap? Are you looking for something under $10K? Do you have any IT certs (MCSE, A+, CCNA, etc?), are you a good test taker? There are a lot of options but these are some questions to start with.

Yes, something under 10k would be preferable. I have been in the field for 6 years now, but have not gotten any certs. Yes, I am a good test taker. I don't necessarily care how long it would take me, I am more concerned over the price as I am still paying off my very high associates degree.

As just Dr. Randell asked you about certification. You might want to take a look at Western Governors University's program. You might knock out your second part with IT certifications within a year while earning your Bachelor degree at WGU. It is only $6,500.00 per year tuition. If you are not a test taker, I would recommend you Fort Hays State University. If you are looking for cheap option, then stay away from private/private for-profit schools.
