    Hi
I am planning to attend online classes from community college. I checked with few community colleges but their tuition fees are very expensive for out of state students. I checked with Clovis community college and today I am going to send the application. If you know any other community college with reasonable tuition fees for out of state students, please let me know.
    Thank you.

Why does it need to be a community college? A four year school might offer the same basic courses.

BTW - you've already found Clovis, I see. They're very popular with distance students - I'm told even their out-of-state prices are quite reasonable -- so you may already have found your most suitable solution. Have a look at the others though... all worthy options, all RA.

That's the attraction of Community Colleges. Many students do their first two years of higher ed. at one because it saves them thousands and they know they can transfer to a four-year school. Often, transfer articulation agreements are in place with specific 4-year schools and the CoCo students are aware of these when starting their programs.

Plus --at the end of two years of Community College - you have an Associate Degree. That's an accomplishment in itself - and a handy credential if you suddenly find you can't start on your bachelor's right away, or you have to do so part-time. An advantage not to be overlooked. I'll bet Kaylee3205 has figured out all this before getting here!

I am attending Fort Hays State University, and it is $174/credit. $522 for one course. They do not offer Associate Degrees, but I thought I would toss it out there. Click on this link Fort Hays State University and look for the Virtual College tab.

    Good luck with your search!

Thank you so much for adding this. I did not realize that they offered two associate degrees, and it is too late to edit my post. :chairshot:

New Mexico Junior College works out to about $89/cr for up to 12 credits/semester....each three hour class over that you only pay the fee's....the tuition is covered. Note "max cost" Tuition and Fees - New Mexico Junior College Since they offer bth 8 and 16 week courses you could conceivably take 12 first 8 weeks...12 more second 8 weeks and really save some cash. Better hurry, classes start in 11 days! http://www.nmjc.edu/distancelearning/coursescourseschedules/courseschedule.aspx

University of Idaho, University of Arkansas and LSU all offer self paced distance options that would allow you to bust out a lot of credit for around $110/cr. you would have to transfer that somewhere like one of the Big 3 to complete the degree though.

Kaylee, what about your in-state community college? Most of them are offering at least some courses online now, and many have full programs that can be completed online.

My local community college (Durham Technical Community College in Durham, NC) only charges $69 per credit-hour for in-state students.

Good point...and with an associate's many schools will waive their general education requirements and bring you in as a full junior.
