A Conversation with Tony Digiovanni of the University of Phoenix Online. Not very interesting, actually. Has a few remarks about getting into corporate training area (which I think is a good idea, as mentioned in an earlier post). Also a few enrollment numbers of marginal interest. And some comments about blended distance/face-to-face programs (which I think UoP should pursue more aggressively, since they are uniquely positioned in the U.S. for such programs).
Someone in their Doctor of Management program told me that they may turn it into a Ph.D program or begin offering one and that the D.M. students would have the opportunity to do some additional work if they wanted the Ph.D. as opposed to the Professional doctorate. It sounded like the plan was not solid yet (ie waiting on accreditor approval). North
