Hello. It has been a while since I have posted here. I am currently enrolled at Liberty University and this is my second year there. Though I truly have enjoyed my time there, the tuition keep going up. Just over a year ago it was below $300 per credit (I think it was $280ish). Well it is now $325. And if you go part time, it is $365. These prices are starting to get out of control. I have noticed that Peru is $210 per credit and has been since I first started looking into distant learning over a year ago. That is a huge savings. Peru was one of the original schools I was considering. However, they had proctored exams. Though I believe proctored exams are great, they kind of defeat the purpose of keeping distant learning convenient for students that have jobs that they may need to travel out of the state/country at the drop of a dime. Again, proctored exams keep the integrity of the program. I salute school that use it. But I do need a school that does not require proctored exams. This is what attracted me to Liberty. No proctored exams. I just went to Peru States website and under the FAQ, one of the questions was "does PSU require proctored exams?" The answer was "NO, PERU DOES NOT REQUIRE PROCTORED EXAMS." Can anybody confirm this for me. I wonder if Peru changes its mind or if they simply have not updated their website. If they do not require proctored exams, I will transfer this coming term. Thanks for all the help. Ken
I didn't take one single proctored exam during my time with PSC. It certainly wasn't a "pie" degree either. The assignments I did were very challenging and I learned a lot in the program. I really don't know if proctored exams are currently required though. It's a great school, BTW. I remember I ran into a (very) small problem at one point and my adviser helped me get it straightened out very quickly.
Thank you for the reply. With the raising costs at Liberty, I will be transferring and Peru is on top for my choice. I am calling tomorrow.

Hi AV8R, I am thinking about attending Peru.. I was wondering does it state on the diploma that it was "online learning" ?? Thanks
Not at all. I earned the exact same degree and diploma that the on-campus students earned. There's no reference to "online" on my diploma, transcript, or anything else.
