After finding many different ways to not spend time on my degree, I'm running out of time before I have to pay TESC another annual fee. In other words: it's go time! 35 credits remaining. If all goes well with my triple-CLEP day tomorrow and I stay on target, that number should be down to 21 by this time next week and 0 remaining by the end of August.

That's right- I'm calling it now, for the whole world to see and hold me accountable. Maniac Craniac aims to finish his bachelor's degree by the end of August 2012. Hopefully :irked:

Well, the road was pretty short. It's all the detours and rest stops along the way that have inflated my completion time.

Sheesh man, get your ass in gear! Plenty of time to smell the roses after you finish.

    Good luck.

FYI, August is just for the BA. I need to be done with the BS by October, but that would give me two months to do 24 credits, which isn't bad at all. The key is to hurry up and finish degree #1 before the end of August.

Poor bastards. That video will live forever as an example of why testosterone intolerance is not a good thing for metal.

9 more credits down, 26 to go. I started studying 3:15 yesterday and finished 3 CLEP exams today before 3:15, meaning that I literally obtained 9 credits within 24 hours. At that rate, I'll have my doctorate by next week :lmao:

Introductory Business Law: 61 (4.5 hours of study)
Principles of Management: 65 (1.5 hours of study)
Principles of Marketing: 70 (.5 hours of study)

These have to be the easiest three CLEPs of them all. Like most CLEPs, all you really need is to be able to recognize terms used in context. A simple run through of the vocabulary and a rational mind (each sold separately, batteries not included) to breeze through. What makes these exams especially easy is that the terminology isn't far removed from Average Joe's vocabulary. Simply livin in a capitalist, litigious society and keeping your head out of the sand most of the time will afford enough prior knowledge to make studying barely necessary. I will say however that high school students who don't have a job, never read the news and didn't grow up watching the Practice will likely have a bit more difficulty on the exams than I did, but probably not too much.

I'm surprised Maniac hasn't thanked me for the gift I gave to his ears. :haha:

Final Countdown is one of my least favorite songs of all time. I don't know whether to thank you for introducing me to an extreme example of how it has been murdered by people who are unprecedentedly un-self-aware or if I should amputate my ear bones for fear that a worse sound may possibly exist somewhere on earth.

By the way, this is probably only the second or third "General Distance Learning" thread I have posted within the last year. I'm a bit enthused that I actually have something legitimate to add to the site today :)

From now on, I'll use this thread to track my progress, and field hecklers :nana:
