    Hi Folks,

Has anyone attended Azusa Pacific University online (or on campus) for their Leadership & Organizational Masters?

School of Adult and Professional Studies - Azusa Pacific University

I know that APU is a great school (not to be confused with American Public University, hehe). I know that I have had friends who have attended APU for their bachelors, but I'm sure that the master's program has a different atmosphere and/or feel. I hope anyone can give me some feedback on the program (or other programs if your not in the MLOS program)

I'm also thinking about going to Woodbury University's accelerated on campus MOL program.

Here are the differences in the two programs:

Woodbury University: 30 Units; 5 week classes that will allow you to complete your degree exactly within a year. Tuition price is $14550 (30x $485 per unit). Woodbury is the second higher institution in the LA region. Requires Thesis Paper (not a big deal to me) Ranked 63 Rregionally (West) Woodbury University | Best College | US News

Azusa Pacific University: 33 Units; 8 week classes allowing you to complete the degree in 20 months. Tuition price is $18975 (33x $575 per unit). No These (I believe). Ranked 170 Nationally Azusa Pacific | Azusa Pacific University | Best College | US News

What I like most about these colleges is the format. I want to take one class at a time. I learn a lot more when I focus on one class rather than pile multiple classes on my schedule.

Also here is my goal: Besides adjunct teaching in the future; I want to expand my horizon, provide leverage to be more marketable, and gain a promotion (whether it be at my current company or elsewhere). I later want to pursue my degree in I/O Psychology.

I know I'm saying a lot, but I have learned that when you ask for help, you should give as much advice as you can to help other understand where you are currently at and what you want to do. Thank you all... :)

A guy I work with got his BA at APU and loved it. I think his degree was math though. I hear it's pretty expensive.

Not as expensive as Pepperdine... It's close to 1K per unit.

1K is pretty steep, but no more steep than a lot of other private schools. For example, CBU is $985.

Have you found anything about transfer policies? I am 15 credits in to my degree but not in to the 15 week classes or the 36 credit degree. Even if I find somewhere that takes 09 credits, it will wash out to the same number of classes I have taken but I would be done quicker/more conveniently. I found National University, someone here went there, that has 04 week classes but is expensive as well. SurfDoctor, was it you that went there?

Yes, I earned a master's at NU. 4 week classes but really expensive. It's a great school, but I would not go back if I knew then what I know now. If I'm reading their current tuition correctly, the classes are $1,422 each. NU Tuition Back when I attended, classes cost me $945 each.

I am only considering it for the military tuition discounts. I am at Duquesne University right now, tier 1 school with a great military tuition discount, but the 15 week classes drag.

Yes, it's ranked 119 and that's pretty high. I'd personally rather sit through the dragging courses than transfer to a lower ranked school.

It is definitely a consideration. I have to take at least a year off regardless, maybe more, so I will check out my options then as well.

They're inching perilously close to $1700 per class now for their Business school. Yes, it's expensive, but you're paying for an accelerated program. It's also a program that both in-person and online versions, which helps skate around the "online degree" bias that pervades SoCal at the moment.
