    Good Evening Everyone,

I am considering the Taft University Master of Business Administration (concentration in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management). Does anyone here have any experience with that university? Their special price for their MBA is also appealing.

(I had once considered the Ashworth MBA, but after I last called them, I got some run around and customer service was not very helpful.)

I am aware that the school is DETC, but my boss would be okay with it.

I am registered to start the MBA program through WHTU in August. Honestly, National Accreditation from a legitimate acredditing agency is becoming more accepted these days. The application and acceptance process was relatively easy with WHTU as communication was excellent and the staff appeared rather friendly. Being a military veteran, since the school is accepted by the GI Bill, goes a long for me to consider its reputation. I have however taken additional steps to help sway any employers that may have any concerns of the academic proficiency I have. I am taking an Executive Certificate course from Notre Dames Mendoza School of Business. I feel that the combination of an Executive Certificate from a leading institution in conjunction with the WHTU MBA should help my overall education profile hold water. It also helps if your undergrad work is from a Regionally accredited institution. Online Executive Certificates are available from many major universities, MIT, Berkeley, USC, Michigan State, Florida State, Notre Dame, etc. (don't quote on all of these).

So why did I chose WHTU? Cost and reputation (the lack of bad reputation). Its a true coursework type school, with the same graduation requirements as most other accredited institutions. Plus, furthering my education is for my benefit to be a more effective leader and a better asset to my company. I have a great job and my performance has taken me to greatness, but to become better I need to continue to learn. If i could afford a $30k plus MBA from a regionally accredited distinguished school and be able to effectively complete it around my work schedule, your damn right I would do it. Hope something in this babble is useful for you. :)
