    http://www.angelfire.com/ak2/diploma/academiacollege.html

“Most Overworked Board of Regents” Award – Concordia University

    http://www.concord-university.net/

The directors of the CU are, by charter, fully authorized to conduct our educational and charitable activities for the purposes of which our School is founded. The CU awards its degrees after evaluation / instruction has taken place, as per authority of the directors of our corporation and parent organization, Pacific Design. Our "Non-traditional" degrees issued only after instruction/evaluation has taken place are hereby legal degrees and are equal to any similar non-traditional degree issued anywhere in the world.

Pacific Design is a Home Inspection company in Bellevue, Washington (http://www.pacificdesignco.com)

“Most Recognition Without Acceditation” Award – Barrington University

    http://www.barrington.edu/mac.asp

For it’s many memberships and contributions (membership fees): American Library Association ($50), Association of International Educators ($92), United States Distance Learning Association ($80), Mobile (AL) Chamber of Commerce ($100), and “official listings” on three web sites: 1) a Graduate student at University of Alabama in Huntsville; 2) a forum listing US schools in the UK; and, 3) a MIT student who, I believe, was attempting to set a “world record” with the number of schools she could list (over 3000).

“Honesty Is The Best Policy" Award – Lacrosse University

    http://www.lacrosseuniversity.com/about.html

“The University makes no representations, promises or guarantees of acceptability of transfer credit to any other public or private educational institution. Graduation from the Law Program is not designed to offer preparation or qualification for any State Bar Examination.”

”Lacrosse University is currently licensed by the Board of Regents of the State of Louisiana.

… but licensure does not constitute accreditation, guarantee the transferability of credit, nor signify that programs are certifiable by any professional agency or organization.”

"You Have To Be Nuts Not To Love This” Award - Calamus International University

Qualifications for Doctorates are evaluated as such:

"We therefore consider applications from mature students on their merits, and what we are seeking is some evidence of aptitude for degree study. This can consist of vocational or in-service training, private study or accomplishments, professional training, completion of a short course of certificate, or other evidence of learning."

    Academia

Academia College (sometimes university) was a Trinity C&U concept that apparently never got off the drawing board. http://www.college-degrees.com/

The Angelfire page was almost certainly the work of Kristiaan De Ley, operator of Capitol U. and Concordia C&U.

People Do Really Read These Things?

It's interesting that some of the "degree mills" that are mentioned within this forum actually are read by these "schools".

Academia College's web site has been taken down and
Barrington University removed two of their three "Official Listings".

With one eye in the rearview mirror, how do these guy's find the time to read.

    HA! HA!

I can see our mill friends now just cursing the day John Bear and the rest of the Anti-Mill crusaders were born.

Another Concord! Let us hope this one is not confused with the Concord in California, offerring DL law degrees.
