I don't know if someone has already posted this (and excuse me if that is the case), but I noticed today that the prestigious University of Oxford now offers a DL master's degree (M.St.) in International Human Rights Law. According to its own website, this degree is "equivalent to an LLM", but is not called such for "historical reasons unrelated to the content or sophistication of the course of study."

Oxford further states that its DL courses are "[p]art of a major initiative by the University of Oxford is to become a global provider of online education and to make Oxford more accessible."

It seems that the M.St. in International Human Rights Law may be the first of many DL degrees that Oxford may eventually offer. Definitely good news for proponents of DL when one of the top two or three educational institutions in the world deems "online education" worthwhile.

    From the Web site:

"The course of study includes two summer residential sessions in Oxford..."

Not exactly DL, but I do thank you for the link.
