My son is being awarded a degree from a state school 5+ years after taking his last class with them. He is transferring in about 40 additional credit hours from LSU extension and others. I will not disclose school name just yet (maybe never) because I do not want to jeopardize the rule bending effort of the system, or his degree award.

You wouldn’t believe how many time I said ‘just ask if it’s possible’!:arms::arms::arms:

  2. Congrats!!!

Side note...I'm not sure how this is bending the rules. I think a few NFL/NBA players have done that. I assuming that he met the schools residency requirements and was not beyond their stated time of completing a degree.

Paraphrasing ‘….in order to graduate the student shall take ‘n’ of the last ‘x’ credits at this campus of the system….’.

And the campus of the system awarding the degree is not where took his original classes!

But so far all we have is a text….no actual degree awarded yet. :ziplip:

  5. Well let's be hush hush about this lol. As soon as he gets it make sure he hangs it up on the wall.
