CLEP Testing Center Availability

Hey All,

I am three CLEP tests away from reaching a personal goal and am having a horrible time finding a testing center that can get me in anytime before late-June.

I intend to start calling every CLEP tesing center in California looking for one that can take me in for three tests in a week or less. But, before I begin keeping the phone companies in business, I was curious if anyone here in California knows of a testing center within 200 miles of San Francisco that has fast availability. I will drive to whatever hippy town in the middle of nowhere as long as they can take me in a week or less.

Can anyone help out here?

Have you tried the ETS center in Oakland? Try also Vandenberg Air Force Base. I took 10 exams there in one week, twice . . . or was it 9 and 10 . . . whatever it was, it was more than 3. It is situated near Lompoc, just about 200 miles or so south of you. You do not have to be military to use the facility, unless the rules have been altered since 9/11.

Send a letter of intent to test, detailing the tests you require along with payment of the test administration fees. Fees for the actual exams are paid when you take them. Call first for guidance. Exactly the center making me wait until late-June.

Know the place well from living in northwestern LA county as a kid. Use to see VAFB-fired missles light up the night sky on occasion. Bonus testing here is I can stay at my parent's house and forego a hotel and bad food.
