If anyone has had to take an Accuplacer test to enroll in college what are your thoughts about the test? Was it hard? Easy? How well did you do? Were you shocked with your scores?

I've taken it only had issues with the math portion. My daughter aced the writing/comprehension portion first try and re-took the math a couple of times.

I would say that it's rather straightforward. There are many colleges that offer sample problems and prep for the exam free of charge. Like here: ACCUPLACER Practice Tests

Know that some schools take the placement very seriously. I have even heard anecdotal reports that if you don't "place" into say College Algebra the school wont retroactively take the CLEP/DSST for credit. You could be required to take a lot of make-up courses that don't even count as electives if you don't place well. Be worth looking into the schools policy before taking the plunge.
