Competency-based degrees- The Next Big Thing, Almost

An interesting piece about competency-based degrees and the 'fight' to bring it to stay. I think there is nothing bad about awarding a degree based on competencies or previous experience. However, in order for the system not be abused, a mechanism must/should be put in place to check claims of those wanting such degrees. This way, one step at a time, competency-based degrees would be accepted globally.Read on.
