Does anyone know of a college that grants letter grades to these credits? Also the rep at straighterline said colleges only accept their credits if i sign up for a degree course. I need a few pre requisites, and wanted just a few of these credits on a transcript from a regionally accredited school.. They made it sound like i had to sign up for a degree program or major to get anyone to accept these and transcribe them for me. I am trying to get into a brick and mortar grad school

Any advice please, this is for cen chem and a&P 1 and 2

Sounds like what you want to do is launder the credits. What they are telling you that you have to do is pick a college, such as Liberty (a new partner), and then transfer them over in to an actual degree program. FHSU used to launder them and give letter grades, but they are no longer a partner.

Most of the institutions do not give letter grade for transferred course. For example, if you transfer 60 credits from the community college to Georgetown University; your graduation GPA will be based on all classes at Georgetown University.

So what would you fellas advise in my situation? Any SL veterans know the drill on this? JB junior, do i pick a degree program, transfer them, then just quit the program?

It would end up being expensive that way. I see that you want to get in to grad school. The issue will be that there may be no school out there now that will put it on one of their transcripts as an original course. FHSU did this. They were one of the original partner schools and would transcript the course almost like they taught it. When you transferred it out, it came from FHSU on their transcript. Everywhere else, then and probably now, would consider it transfer credit and when you sent the transcript in to the grad school it would show as transfer and the grad school would want the original transcript.

  6. Does admissions require letter grades? I have only seen them requiring a specific overall GPA and then certain classes included within that degree. Maybe you should ask the admissions officer at the school you want to attend. I spoke to Mississippi State University about 6 months ago when I was looking into an MBA program. They just wanted me to show completion of the SL courses.

Are you taking these as prereqs for a health occupation? If so, be ready for a brick wall. I'd advise against it. There are tons of options- SL is a bad one in that case.
