Here's what I am trying to achieve...

There is a local university that I would like to attend during the evenings. The only problem is they will not accept you into the program if you have less then 45 transferable credits.

With this being said, I have extensive work experience and would like to see if I can obtain college credit for my work experience.

    Any suggestions???

Does the university specify what type of transfer credits they will accept? If they'll accept testing credit, then you should look into CLEP, DANTES, and other standaridized tests. You should be able to acquire 45 credits via testing fairly quickly if you apply yourself.

    Looking for help.

It sounds like the program that you are looking at is a degree completion program designed for adults. These programs usually have a requirement of 40-50 hours of college level work to gauge your abilities as a student. You are on the right track and should not get frustrated. How would you feel if upon graduation you found out that there were few if any requirements for admission into a program? I agree with Bruce you should check into the CLEP and DANTES tests if they will fulfill your requirement. If not you might want to consider a evening associates degree program an a local college.
