I have a MBA but somehow I end up teaching math in a HS in Texas. I am planning to take an MA or MS in Math, and since I do not have undergraduate math courses so I need to take them before I enroll to meet the prerequisite. I am looking for the cheapest way to earn those college credits as long as the school is accredited, here in US or even oversea. (1) I found out that the cheapest way to earn credits is either through independent study or credit by examination, which I am quite comfortable with since in fact I got my BS from the Regents College. Anybody knows of any other CBE programs except CLEP, DSST, UExcel, AP and Ohio University’s? I need more math subjects that they offer. (2) I looked at London University’s program but it gives tests only once a year, I need a shorter period. Any body familiar with other commonwealth countries such as Australia or New Zealand? Do they have similar independent study program? (3) I was told that India, who has long tradition of British style of education systems, has lot of colleges offering correspondence courses at a fraction of the cost here in US. Does anybody know some info about Indian colleges? Which ones are accredited? Thank you for all your help. Ryan
I don't know which courses you need but you might look here: http://www.is.lsu.edu/courselist.asp?cat=Mathematics&nid=102&pg= The prices are good and the courses can be accelerated.
