Anyone have any experience with their MA in Military History? I was looking into it and thought it would be fun to do after I complete my program with Regis.

Well, I completed 18 hours towards an MA in Civil War Studies from 2000 to 2003. :smokin:

OK. When I made that post, I was going to give my review of the program, but my mind suddenly drew a blank for some reason. I know I've given an extensive review of American Military University at least once and possibly twice. So, I went to the search engine to see if I could necromance that old thread but was unable to find it.

There you go. I've just given the bumpity to four old American Military University threads.

    My quest has finally started
    Question for Ted Heiks

    Enjoy!

I took the Civil War and Reconstruction DSST exam a couple of months ago. I thoroughly enjoyed studying for it.

Norwich University also offers an MA in Military History. I don't know much about the school, but I haven't heard any negative things about it.

Well, Western New Mexico University is going to have an online graduate course on World War II in the Fall. I don't know if you would be interested in the program or not, but you could take a class while you're still looking! Check it out!

AMU Runs a Pretty Good History Program

I should finish AMU's MA in American history this summer. The program is well organized and the professors all seem to require about the same amount of work. There seems to be some oversight that keeps the courses similar. Also, the professors generally have top tier degrees. Two of my three this semester have Ivy League doctorates if that means anything to you. Most classes have a posting most or all weeks, with the usual 2 responses, but the topics are relevant, basically 500 word essays on the weekly reading assignment. There are a few small papers and a big one due at the end for each class. Generally, I recommend it and have enjoyed myself so far.
