Just received the following. They're nothing if not persistent. (They certainly aren't literate.)

I find particularly amusing the notion that since their name is "copyrighted" (I am near certain one cannot copyright a name,), that somehow no one is able to discuss them.

And the section marked "United Nations International Covenant" actually turns out to be a reference from the Penal Code of India. How that has any jurisdiction to this matter is simply beyond me.

I would be particularly amused to know just exactly where the esteemed Daniel Jason Gozin, Esq. earned his law degree. Perhaps from Euclid? :)

Thee's probably a law against pretending to be a member of the "Federal Court of Australia." Maybe I'll do a little research.

Wow you better watch out... you might do 2 years in an Indian prison for violating one of their penal code statutes even if your actions are not only legal but Constitutionally protected here in the U.S. I can see the Ghurka police sneaking up on you now...careful, they might bust out into a Bollywood dance!

Chip, do you even bother responding to this rubbish?

Well, of course they need to spend their time threatening web forums with frivolous legal action. It's not like they are using their resources for educating students :loser:

Seems to me that their lawsuits are as overblown and trumped up as the degrees they offer.

I've been trying to think of a way to turn this into a reality TV series about degree mills. It could be funny. Ideas?

Maybe we could somehow send them my Complaint Forum for Degree Mill Operators link. I know, I know, grow up SurfDoctor.

I don't think you can copyright a name. You can trademark it, but that's not the same thing. Either way, fair use specifically allows use of copyrighted material for the purposes of criticism. (Besides, who cares what silly UN bureaucrats think, anyway?)

Noooo!!! Listen D.Surf, my friend, I know sometimes life can be confusing and difficult but please understand that growing up is NEVER the answer. We're here for you, buddy, hang in there.

Their reply reminds me of that comic (which I have no idea how to post in a message) where a wife is calling her husband to bed and he's furiously typing away while he calls back "just another minute honey, someone on the internet is wrong!" Seriously, they have time to pursue forum posts? It's probably the only way they have a google rating, they should send you a check.

The funniest thing to me is that they obviously read this board and despite all our "criticism" of their messages, they continue to appear to be complete idiots. For a few dollars they could probably hire a bright high school kid to write a better letter. What a maroon!

Either click the image icon above the text area (looks like a tree painting surrounded by a thin black frame) and enter the URL in the alert box then press OK, or directly write the bb code, which looks like this:

    The result:

Is there a Growing Up Anonymous or some other meeting I can attend?

We should just keep bumping that old Euclid thread and keep it on the front page all the time.

I think one thing this shows is that Euclid is not run solely (or at all, at this point) by Laurent Cleenewerck. Unlike this "lawyer" unit, Father Laurent is actually literate.
