I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this. Best I can tell, some FEMA courses are ACE evaluated while others are not. Does anyone know if the ones that are offered online are ACE evaluated?
I don't believe any of the currently offered online courses are evaluated by ACE. ACE does have some of the butt in seat courses with evaluations. These are usually offered to police/fire/ems/etc.... FEMA does provide a transcript and work with Frederick CC to ensure credit is available. Thomas Edison and Charter Oak State Colleges offer to transcribe the FEMA credit directly into their programs for free.
Thanks Rebel...I was thinking it was something like that. It's difficult to decipher just by looking at the FEMA or ACE websites.
Check, but I think EC wants it on a fcc transcript. I hear that apu/amu takes them direct from fema also......but no actual experience with them.
Depending on where you live there are a couple of ather programs that are worth a look. Red Rocks CC in Colorado, Clackamas in Oregon (works in 5 other states as well), and Guam CC (are you in Guam by chance ) all have programs that utilize FEMA credits cheap or free. They don't help if your just looking to use the credits for transfer.
I am talking about online FEMA.....except that Clakamas requires additional butt in seat FEMA for its degree that is transferable to 4 year universities (but the Clackamas degree is only available in 5 states). What are you trying to accomplish? If your just looking at electives FEMA are fantastic at TESC and COSC (and apparently Bellvue and AMU/APU). Anyplace else there is likely a better alternative alternative.
