I was looking at the Concord Law Center site today and was astonished to see that they list one of my old law school professors as a member of their Health Law faculty. I can't imagine him being involved in anything not completely first class. Has anyone had any experience with this program? Nosborne
Kaplan enterprises is an extremely well financed organization and they have the capitol to enlist such luminaries as Arthur Miller as well as others.
Well, I know that the Concord Law Center is connected to the Concord Law School, though the web sites seem to reflect two different organizations. For one thing, I don't think that the Law Center claims DETC accreditation. Even the ABA has stated that LLM programs are appropriate for D/L delivery. I wonder how "saleable" a CCL LLM would be? COSTS They can recruit "Top-Notch" talent for the price of tuition that they charge. Back in 1999 I applied, took the 20-question entrance exam on contract law, and was accepted to the JD-Bar Track Program. The tuition back then was only approximately: $2,500 per year. I looked at their site this morning and it is over $7,000 now!! Could their un-clear relationship with the DETC be the cause of this sky-rocketing cost? Or could it be the caliber of their professors? I know one thing that they are not Banking that $7G's on....the baby bar pass rate! Their LLM tuition is now $400 per quarter unit. That makes their Health Law degree something more than $10,000, I think. OUCH! Nosborne
