I'm more interested in the benefits of spam.

Spam has a very high fat/cholesterol content. Plus, it doesn't even taste very good. You'd be better off buying some bacon. At least bacon tastes good.

Don't listen to Kizmet. Spam is great fried up and put with lettuce and tomato on a sandwich. Bacon can't touch that!

    Blasphemy!

Spam is awesome, you just need to know how to prepare it. Grilled over an open fire, with a toasted hamburger roll with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion.....good stuff.

When we were issued some in the Gulf War, it was a welcome departure from MRE's for awhile. The cans were typical Army OD green with black letters saying "Luncheon Meat, One Type Each", but it was Spam.

I remember being in the grocery store in Korea in 2001 and hearing a conversation that was basically "no, Johnny. That is the good spam and it is for your Dad. This is the spam for us."

    Hadashi no Gen,

Johnny Aloha's children love spam musubi. As I'm sure you know, Hawaii is the #1 consumer of spam in the US.
