I have recently decided to pursue my BEET from World College. Having completed my Technical Diploma from a Canadian college with 140 credit hours, I really want to transfer max credit hours (75%) to attain minimum time in graduating with bachelors.

Many course grades from my college diploma range from A (80+) to D (50-55) in the transcript.

Is the course grade a critera followed by World College in transfering credit hours besides course-description-matching and credit-weightage of course?

Replies from former students of World College would be perfect!!
    Thanks in advance

Hi classy.nerd, a warm welcome to Degree Info. Here's why your posts don't show up right away: http://www.degreeinfo.com/general-distance-learning-discussions/35100-new-users-ask-where-did-my-posts-go.html

Best of luck to you at World College. I like the ability to make monthly payments toward your education and how you could possibly finish up a bachelor's in one year and pay under $3K. It's an interesting concept to pay only for the time you spend, so if you are quick, you can get through cheaply.

On caveat, World College holds a DETC accreditation, which insures that your program will be of very high quality because it is a solid accrediting organization. However, most traditional schools will not recognize your degree because it is not regionally accredited. Your degree will be just as good as any other, but it may face some unfair discrimination from academia. You should check carefully to make sure a degree from World College will take you where you want to go. Most employers should be fine with it, but many traditional schools may not be fine with it.

Have you looked into the BSET degrees offered by Excelsior College? You could earn a degree that is both RA and ABET accredited. TESC offers a BSAST.

I agree with Ian. The tuition options at World College are quite good, but I would always choose an RA school over DETC school. It's unfair because DETC is quite a good operation and someday I expect they will earn the respect of academia, but you have got to choose a degree that will open the doors you need, within the time-frame you need. Only you can decide if a DETC degree will work for you.
