Hello Everyone. This is my first post but I have read this forum extensively and found it very informative. I have a quick question for people who may have already enrolled at these institutions - which would you recommend Taft or CSU for a DBA? Or perhaps someone can recommend another university? I know the RA/NA argument but in my case (GS14 Federal Employee - 15 service years) they do not care and I have no desire to teach AT ALL. However, I do enjoy learning and have a Masters from a RA B&M in Business Management. I would be paying for this degree (since its not really a requirement of my job to have one) so I am looking for low cost/low-no residency but good and solid in terms of curriculum. It's been on my bucket list and call it vanity or whatever - I would like to give the degree a shot. I did look at RA universities but I could not justify the price considering my intentions of utiltizing the degree for personal satisfaction. I understood that Taft had a program with AIMS (I am really just throwing around what I had read in the past with no real knowledge of the details) which lowered tuition to $350+ a credit. Anyone know anything about that? Is it still available? Anyway - I appreciate any insight or feedback that you may have.
It's Columbia Southern that I am referring to. Still looking though and am digging into the Valdosta DPA that many have mentioned. That has possibilities that I would have to take the GRE, right?
I think Columbia Southern University is the only NA CSU. Other CSUs -- like Cleveland State U, California State U, Colorado State U, Central State U, Charleston Southern U, Chicago State U, Clayton State U, and Columbus State U -- are RA. Of course, there are still more CSUs overseas, like Charles Sturt U in Australia, which also offers DL programs.
Sure, but California Southern is unaccredited. No wait, that's California Southern Law School, not California Southern University. The California Southern University is regionally accredited. No wait, that's the University of Southern California. So I think you're right: California Southern University is NA, and it is also CSU. Maybe it would be less confusing if we assigned new initials to some of these CSU schools. California Southern University could be TIFKAS: "the institution formerly known as SCUPS".
