Jones international - MBA experience

Is there anybody that has personal experience from the quality of the JIU's MBA program ?
I have seen various messages regarding Jones International University but not much in terms of first-hand experience.

I have no personal experience (other than research, similar to what you are doing) with JIU.

I have heard, on other listservs, that JIU MBA via distance/online approaches tends to "sell" to international communities, and really isn't popular or selected often, by USA or most EU students.

In the USA, it would seem that Capella Univ. has a stronger MBA offering, plus Capella is regionally accredited. In addition, there are so many other more "traditional" MBAs via online or distance learning (check Jonnie's Distance Learning Page), that one really doesn't need to test the waters with JIU.

Thanks for the response. I am now considering the Regis MBA program and started a new thread.

 

I really do suggest that you check out "Jonnie's Distance Learning Page", (don't know the URL off the top of my head, but a google search with the above name in quotes should get you there...it's a geocities site), for other options.

Regis is good, maybe the best for you, but there are so many...Univ. of Texas at Dallas, Univ. of Texas at Arlington, etc., etc. many traditional bricks n' mortar schools have now created online MBAs (heck, Colorado State is a good program!), and you can get their info in paper form quickly...

My advice...kind of like the old carpenter's advice, "measure twice, saw once"....get all the info, go overboard in your research up front...that will save you lots of money and lost time later.

Jones International

Good Morning, My daughter , an occasional poster, is enrolled in the Jones MBA program. From the positive angle there is a portfolio option for 9 credits. At this date she has successfully completed a portfolio for 3 credits and has resubmitted two other portfolios. These are much more involved then the TESC portfolios.
