Legal Drafting Course?

I have an academic background in law (LLB, LLM, doctoral candidate) but as many people will realize they key word is "academic". My LLB did not include civil procedure or any coursework on legal drafting or litigation.

The legal drafting in particular is a deficiency I am looking at correcting but I am at a bit of a loss on where to find a course, is this something that is typically covered in a litigation course? If so, to what extent? Or is drafting something that you only cover in outline and then learn on the job?

I am completely open to technical programs/paralegal programs (I don't want to do the whole program, just the relevant course or courses) nationally accredited schools, anything like that. The more nuts and bolts the better, I don't need a course that is going to tell me how to write a law school paper, that I can do, what I want to learn is how to draft a statement of claim etc.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

You could pick up a manual on pleadings, which will give you a good start. The ABA publishes lots of solid practice books on litigation, including this one for $40 (also available in ebook) Pleading Your Case: Complaints and Responses: Pleading Your Case: Complaints and Responses

Otherwise, you might find a course that deals with pleadings or practice, although in my experience this is something best learned in a clincal course or in practice. Also, you can use google to find sample complaints and answers for actual cases. They're out there. And free.
