Ok, hold on to your hats, this is good. My hubby is up for a faculty job with a university (we'll hear in next 2 weeks!) and one of the benefits is that his school is a member of the Tuition Exchange program. Initially, we knew that this uni offered free tuition as a perk. This is pretty common, when you work for a school, you and/or family get free tuition- which is already cool since we have 4 (!) children. That benefit can be worth a half million dollars in my house if used. Anyway.... BETTER than what we understood, the tuition isn't only free in-house, because they belong to this network, it's free a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e in that network :aargh4: So, in short, 500+ colleges. Next time you are trying to decide where to apply for a job, click this link and pick a school In hubby's case, they pay 100% of undergrad tuition for children and spouse. They pay 90% of own grad tuition for any school on the list. Tuition Exchange| Career Institution| College Tuition Exchange Program ...of course, they've never me an edu-junkie like me...they may change their policy before I'm through with them.
I started creating a narrower list of schools with online degrees, then I realized I needed to be less OCD. There are many.
It's pretty amazing, and is one of the reasons why I hope to continue working in a college or university.
